Standing Committees

E-Services Committee
The E-Services Committee shall address the communication needs of the Area. The E-Services Committee will be responsible for ensuring that the electronic needs are met and that computer equipment and related software programs function properly, meeting the needs of the Area. Upon request, it will inventory the needs and requirements of the Area. The E-Services Committee will make recommendations that shall be presented to the Area Committee and ultimately to the Area Assembly for final action. The core E-Services Committee members will be selected by the Area Officers and appointed by the Area Chairperson.
 
Finance Committee
  1. The Finance Committee members are also selected by the Area Officers and appointed by the Area Chairperson.
  2. The Finance Committee members are DCMs who already have a vote at Area.
  3. The Area Treasurer serves on the Committee and votes at Area as Area Treasurer.
  4. The Past Delegate serving on the Committee does not have a vote at Area.
  5. This Committee chooses it own chairperson from the DCMs on the Committee.
  6. The duties of the Finance Committee include:
  7. To study any financial situation (e.g., taxes) of the Area,
  8. To assist the Treasurer in developing the annual budget, and
  9. To stress the 7th Tradition and Self-Support in the Area.
  10. The Treasurer will always be a member of this committee, but not its chairperson.
  11. Other members will be a past Delegate and three current DCMs. Their term will be for 2 years, coinciding with the Area's Officers.
  12. The Area Chairperson will appoint Committee members. With Area Committee approval no later than the February ACM of the new panel.
  13. Any proposal of unbudgeted or unanticipated financial impact (more than $300) must be presented to this Committee for consideration. The Committee will pass on its recommendation(s) to the Area Committee and/or Assembly as soon as possible.
  14. Conduct quarterly reviews of treasury reports, including bank statements, and report to Area Assemblies and Area Committee meetings.
Translation Committee

  1. The Translation Committee Coordinator(s) is selected by the Area Officers and appointed by the Area Chairperson, but the composition of the Committee is flexible.
  2. These member do not have a vote at Area unless they are DCMs.
  3. The Area Translation Committee is a new and integral part of the A.A. Service structure in Area 07.
  4. This Committee was created and approved by the Assembly at the 2002 Pre-Conference Assembly.
  5. The Chair of the Committee is appointed by the Area Officers, but the composition of the committee is flexible.
